Your privacy in Tuftwood

The short version

Who we are

Tuftwood : Rug Tufting Simulation (“Tuftwood”) is made by Levend Turgay, an independent developer. This policy covers the Tuftwood game and this website, playtuftwood.com. If you have a question about it, write to:

hello@levendturgay.com

What stays on your computer

The game stores everything it needs locally and never sends it to us:

Uninstalling the game and deleting that folder removes all of it.

Steam

Tuftwood is sold and run through Steam, which is operated by Valve Corporation. Valve processes your account, purchase and payment details, and the game asks Steam which language you play in so it can start in that language. Steam may also show your play time and status to your friends as part of how Steam works. We receive only the anonymous sales and usage reports that Valve gives all developers, never your payment details. See the Steam Privacy Policy.

If you post on the Tuftwood Steam discussion boards, or use the “Share feedback” button in the game, which opens those boards, your post is public on Steam under your Steam profile.

The Unity game engine

Tuftwood is built with the Unity engine by Unity Technologies. We have switched off Unity's optional analytics and cloud services. The engine itself may still send Unity limited technical information, such as your device model, operating system, graphics hardware and anonymous diagnostics, which Unity uses to improve the engine. We don't receive information that identifies you from this. See Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

This website

Children

Tuftwood is a family-friendly game and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). Steam accounts are subject to Valve's own age rules.

Your rights

Because we don't hold personal information about you, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For data held by Valve or Unity, use the contact options in their policies. If you live in a region with privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA and have a question or request, write to the address above and we'll answer within 30 days.

Changes

If Tuftwood adds a feature that handles your information differently, such as Steam Cloud saves or achievements, we'll update this page and the date at the top before that feature ships.
