The whole craft, start to finish

Every rug goes from an empty frame to the customer's floor.

Neighbors drop by with a request: a sunny-side-up coaster for the café, a frog for a reading nook, a mushroom bath mat for a very serious bathroom. You make each one yourself.

  1. Stretch the cloth drum-tight
  2. Trace the design from the projector
  3. Tuft it from the back, stitch by stitch
  4. Check your work against the light
  5. Glue and press on the backing
  6. Cut the rug out along its shape
  7. Flip it for the big reveal
  8. Shave the pile even
  9. Carve crisp lines between colors
  10. Lint-roll away the fluff
  11. Deliver it and see how they react
